Can I tile over linoleum glue on concrete?

I pulled all the linoleum up in my basement but the glue is still adhered to the concrete. There are a few places where I was able to sc up a small area, but the majority of it is heavily stuck to the concrete. I was thinking of tiling over the glue, has anyone had any experience with this? Is there some sort of solution made that I can cover the glue in to have it come up easier? My other option would be to go overtop of the concrete with durock cement board. If I did this, what would I use to attach it to my cement slab? I haven't had much experience with cement aside from using tap cons. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
