My dog hurt his paw nail and i dont kow what to do!?

okay so my dogs paw nail is sideways and whenever someone or something touches it, it hurts him. or sometimes when he walks he limps. he is a poodle chahuahua and 2 years old, im worried that i wont have enough money for the vet? is it gonna get infected? what should i do?
