You will need to reset your cookies. Actually after you do that, you might even want to reboot your computer. Also if you are using IE that could be part of the problem. I had lots of issues with IE so now I use firefox about 75% of the time. And its a lot faster too. Give those a try. When you reset your pword they normally will email you the new pword. Some email things, like yahoo and aol like to call it spam and that way you never get the new pword or the link you need and after so many tries some will lock the account for a day to play it safe.
