Did Anyone Ever Get Rain the Day of an Outdoor Wedding?

I was a bridesmaid in an outdoor wedding that got plenty of rain. They had a tent set up, but the ground was so wet, the dance floor pretty much sank into the mud by the end of the day. Our dresses were covered with mud on the bottoms. Someone finally got a pair of scissors so that the bridesmaids could cut their dresses off at the knees and stop dragging around wet, muddy dresses. Another person went out to a store and found a short white sundress for the bride to wear for the rest of her reception, because her wedding dress was in even worse condition. It was not the day that the bride had hoped for at all, but in the end, you just have to laugh, otherwise you'd cry.
