Help me with this movie!! made before 1997?

so i remember watching this movie that was on tv when i was little which means the movie was made before 1997. I can't remember the exact plot since it has been many years but I will give you a few things I remember happening in the movie... a couple checking into a hotel where the people are very wacky/ spooky... a cart on a moving track that the couple go on to try to escape.. the couple fall down a pit and end up being surrounded by bones.... that's the only things I can really remember.. it wasn't really a horror movie but almost trying to make fun of horror.. please help!
