How to get proof of spouses divorces?

My husband ped away and now I need proof of his previous divorces for vetrans benifits. How do I go about that? His first wife and he were married and divorced in Roseville, Ca. His second wife and he were married in Lake Tahoe Ca and divorced through a sandiego ca court. They need to make sure he and I are legally married before saying yes to any benifits that me and the kids are owed monthy. Please only write if you can really help on this. If you can give me numbers to courthouses that would be great! :)
