I'm a U.S citizen and i'm trying to marry my girlfriend who came here on her i/20 student visa. What do i do

My girl is "out of status" for now, we are about to get married so she can apply for her green card and work authorization but i don't think i meet up to the income requirement to file for her so we are thinking of a co-sponsor. I want to know if getting a co-sponsor won't affect my eligibility to get financial aid cuz i get money from the gov. by using my dad's 1040. I want to know what to do? help! anybody.
