Question concerning my braces?

So basically I'm starting Freshman year in around a month from now, and I'm almost ready to get my braces off. My teeth are perfectly straight, except for on tooth that apparently isn't far out enough and turned, so one tooth is keeping me from getting my braces off. My dentist has been trying to fix it for months now, but for some reason he can't fix it. I don't know how long it's gonna be before they come off, but I really wanted to get them off before high school because I feel like that would be just perfect. However, I can get the top half off, but I don't know what to do. I want my braces off before high school, and I mean I can get the top off but it's not the same. So what should I do? Wait for them to come all of which is most likely mid way through high school instead of before it, or just get top half off right before I go? Thanks (:
