What I want to know is how to get started with a conglomerate?

That is my means to my ultimate dream, to start a conglomerate but I am not sure how to get started! I first would like to do structural engineering as a base! I am currently in high school. Start with my own consultation firm with Structural engineering then build up my empire from there! With some other ventures like possibly a magazine, fashion label etc. To raise money to start charities around the globe. (my dream)
